The design of the Intermarine 48 Offshore was born out of a challenge to create a high-speed boat that stands out from the competition. Unlike other boats that only differ in exterior graphics, this vessel boasts a powerful look that is both luxurious and meticulously finished, reflecting the standards of Intermarine's yachts. The dynamic lines reminiscent of super sport cars and the luxurious atmosphere inspired by architecture are evident in the teak flooring applied throughout the deck and the upholstery.
The vessel's construction employs the infusion method for lamination. This advanced technique reduces the quantity of resin used, thereby decreasing the boat's weight. The result is a vessel with higher efficiency, using less fuel and reducing environmental impact. This method also provides a better work environment by keeping workers away from toxic gases.
The Intermarine 48 Offshore measures 2465 mm x 14470 mm x 3130 mm. Its external area features a swimming platform, solarium, cabinet with a barbecue grill, cooktop, sink, refrigerator, folding table, and seating for five plus a pilot. The internal area houses a cabin with two berths, a bathroom, and a choice between a seven-seat sofa or a four-seat sofa with a galley. The boat offers two engine options, with the more powerful option reaching a maximum speed of 56 knots.
The design process, which took place from February to August 2013, involved extensive research into the characteristics that make sport boats special. This research was instrumental in the development of innovative elements such as the suspended back solarium and the teak flooring. Feedback from sellers and old customers led to the offering of a second internal layout, catering to users who do not cook on the boat and prefer an extended social area with two sofas.
The Intermarine 48 Offshore is not just a testament to innovative design and advanced technology, but also a symbol of excellence in yacht design. It was awarded the Golden A' Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Award in 2014, a prestigious accolade granted to outstanding creations that advance art, science, design, and technology. This award reflects the prodigy and wisdom of its designers, Viviane Nicoletti and Matheus Santiago, and their contribution to the world of yacht design.
